1. What size skipping rope should I use?
Ideally when you stand on the middle of your Fitness Rope and hold a handle in each hand, the handles should reach your armpits. However, because the length of Resist&Skip Fitness Ropes can be shortened and lengthened again, we advise that you choose your preferred STRENGTH rope and then alter the size to fit your height. Take a look at our Rope Size Guide for more advice.
2. What different strengths are available?
Resist&Skip provide 5 different strength ropes and are very similar to the different strengths you would find if you were using a resistance band. The lightest ropes are for Key Stage 1 & 2 children; The Purple Fitness Rope is suitable for younger teenagers or small adults and has a light resistance; The Orange Ropes have a medium resistance and are suitable for older teenagers and adults; the Green Fitness Rope is a high strength resistance; the Silver Fitness Rope is super strength.
3. How do I shorten or lengthen my Fitness Rope?
You can shorten and length the Fitness Ropes (excluding KS1 and KS2 Fitness Ropes) by altering the wonder-widget which is underneath the handle. Take a look at our 'Setting the Length' page to see how to do it correctly. Remember not to take the wonder-widget off the end of the rope as you will NOT be able to put it back on the rope again.
4. How do I use my Fitness Rope?
You can use your Fitness Rope in two different ways. Firstly as a skipping rope to improve your cardio fitness. Secondly, as a resistance band to improve your strength. There is no need to switch over to a new piece of equipment as the Resist&Skip Fitness Rope does everything you need. We provide Fitness Plans to help you achieve your fitness goals.
